A Wonderful Cuppa! September 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The prefolded Chemex filters are the heart and soul to the great cup of coffee you get with the Chemex. The filters are much thicker than conventional filters to block out any bitterness but the special "weave" of the filter allows for the flavors to pass through. Great coffee flavor with no bitterness thus making a very smooth cup...what's not to like?! Smooth and flavorful are the results. Even my most critical coffee connoisseur cousin loved the flavor! There is no filter cone needed. The filters themselves are strong enough to hold the wet grounds...an important feature since the coffee is passing through paper and going into a glass carafe...the flavor won't be tainted by metal or plastic. I have been using mine for about a year and I highly recommend the product.
