A cheap book... April 6, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Zimmer's book presents a nice introduction into coffee, but nothing more. As a coffee enthusiast, I was dissappointed on the information provided by the book. There was no deep insight or extensive experience behind the writing. Same kind of introduction is easily available by surfing coffee related web sites. This is true also for the recipes listed in the book.
What really bothered was the cheap way the book was put together. Instead of proper writing the content was presented in the form of notes ie. list of facts. Combined with really poor layout and typography the overall impression was of a junior high school project work. I really don't think this book adds anything to the wonderful world of specialty coffee.
Thanks for the tips. March 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful

Best coffee is that which hits the spot and soothes the wrinkled nerves and helps get me going. I love coffee that blends with different things ... IN this book 'I Love Coffee! Over 100 Easy and Delicious Coffee Drinks' I found many fun things to try. Never had I thouht of putting so many different things I like into the coffee. TOGETHER they are even better. Not only is coffee the wonder in the morning as straight and black but also stronger and white or smoothe or lunch quizine all in one cup. Amazing how this book tells it like is in coffee.

... Very well done November 27, 2005 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
It was the cover that caught my attention initially, as it suggests quality. And this is one case where you CAN judge a book by its cover!
The author has done an impressive job presenting coffee-related beverages, but this book is much more than that. I can't imagine a more definitive and entertaining read on the subject of the humble coffee bean. Folklore, photography, humour, great recipes... simply an excellent read. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
