a beautiful book on tea parties July 7, 2000 53 out of 53 found this review helpful
This book starts with 4 pages of tea history and brewing instructions and then has 3 pages of "how to's" for tea parties. There is a theme tea for every month with menus and suggestions. There are approximately 4 recipes included with each month, so having another tea-time cookbook is advisable. Two of my favorites are "The Book of Afternoon Tea" by Lesley Mackley and "Totally Teatime Cookbook" by Helene Siegel. As far as "how to's" for tea parties, "Tea with Friends" by Elizabeth Knight has more information, but fewer recipes. Even so, this makes a beautiful gift book.
