This is my favorite tea. Regular green tea tastes a little bitter to me. The addition of the brown rice gives this tea a nice smokey flavor. In the winter I drink at least two cups a day...I can't get enough!

I was recently introduced to Genmai cha by a friend who's husband works for a company that does business with Japan. I was at once intrigued and desirous to purchase more of the same. However, I am still unable to find a similar tea with the same delicate taste. Unfortunately, Yamamotoyama Genmai Cha is just adequate. I am still on my quest to find that same delicate flavor I found in those tea bags my friend gave me. Wish me luck in my search!
A Mellow, satisfying tea March 18, 2006
I love this tea. I can drink it all day long, and I find it very comforting and satisfying. It is especially pleasant on a cool or stormy day.
