Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This is a special green tea that Yunnan, China is famous for. For these tuochas ("bird's nest"), green tea is compressed into a shape that resembles a bird's nest. These tuocha's come in 100 gram "nests". Simply flake off the tea with a fork or knife to create a full bodied smoky green tea. Because it is compressed, this tea ages nicely and stays well preserved. This is a perfect tea for traveling because it is compact and not fragile, as some loose leaf teas can be. Flake off about a teaspoon and use full boiling water over the leaves. Don't steep longer than 3 minutes or it will become quite strong. Can be re-used 3 times and still get good flavor. One of our favorites for its full distinctive taste.
