| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Green tea from the Guangdong province of China. Gunpowder tea, as the name implies, is made up of leaves hand-rolled into tiny pellets. These resemble gunpowder, and give this tea its distinct name. Continuing this bang-bang theme, our special-grade version of this tea is named after a year that saw lots of cannon action. Our 1812 Gunpowder produces a full-bodied cup with a hint of smokiness. And mixes well with peppermint to produce a popular "Morocon Mint" tea.

The Best Green November 24, 2007 I absolutely love this gunpowder tea. The utmost quality every time I refill, which is quite often. A delicious smokey and smooth taste, I prefer this far more than any other green.
If you enjoy darker teas and are looking to try something new, I highly recommend starting here. Mix with peppermint for an amazing blend!

I've been using Adagio Teas for several years. I love the 1812 Gunpowder Tea and have it sent repeatedly, I've also bought tons of their Berry Teas for the college kids. They love it and its a great pick-me-up. Because of the stress at college many of them use the Chamomile or Peppermint tea for their tummies. The people with Adagio are very helpful. And all their teas are excellent and reasonably priced.
